Artificial Intelligence Applications in Medical Practice Management

SAOE, in partnership with several other medical societies, has launched a 10-episode podcast series on Artificial Intelligence Applications in Medical Practice Management. In the first episode, our hosts Dr. Laura-Kathryn Neal and SAOE staff member Joe Daraskevich introduce themselves and explain some of the topics they'll be covering in the coming weeks. This series starts with the basics of AI and works toward more in-depth concepts in the later episodes. Each episode features show notes to make it easier to understand the topic covered.

The first five episodes are available to the public, but the second half of the series is only available to members. Not a member yet? Click here to learn what SAOE can do for you!

The sixth episode in the A.I. series focuses on task management within medical practices and how the free version of Trello can revolutionize an organization's workflow while also boosting efficiency. Dr. Laura-Kathryn Neal and Joe Daraskevich start with the basics, explaining how Trello organizes projects into boards that can be used to manage tasks and foster team collaboration. Users can use Trello to easily assign staff assignments and track progress as the team works toward a deadline. Dr. Neal pinpoints specific ways Trello can be useful in a medical practice, like tracking inventory. Statistics show Trello saves time and cuts back on the number of errors within a team.
Episode Seven
Release date: May 5, 2025
Dr. Laura-Kathryn Neal and Joe Daraskevich spend the seventh episode in the A.I. podcast series talking about Grammarly and how the tool can make communication more professional in a medical practice. The hosts start by pointing out some quick tricks to enhance the clarity and professionalism in email communications by helping with clear subject lines, structured content and a professional tone. Grammarly offers corrections in real time. That can be really helpful if you don’t have another set of eyes to proofread or edit content. The instant feedback can help you quickly adjust your spelling and punctuation, but it can also enhance your vocabulary by suggesting synonyms and phrases to improve impact. Dr. Neal explains how people who tend to be too wordy can benefit from the Grammarly features that make writing more concise. On the other side of the coin, content that is too brief can be lengthened with similar tools.
